Story of Ayria Empty Story of Ayria

Post by Ayrìa Mon Oct 10, 2011 3:47 pm

Lately Ive been RPing more and seeing a lot of gaps in Ayria's story. I decided I needed to write out her history a little bit better so her personality today is somewhat more understood.
Feel free to read or ignore...This is more for my use in my RP and those I RP with. Smile

This is written using the timeline shown here: http://www.wowwiki.com/Timeline_(unofficial)

Ayria is the daughter of 2 wielders of light, Holy priests. She was raised to believe the light is an entity that is be respected and used with care.
Her mother (Minn'da) passed away early in her life, a point she does not remember and her father (Ann'da) did not talk about.
Following the training of Ann'da, she learned to wield the holy light in a way to heal and protect people.

In her mid-nineties she was introduced to another priest, Dalterus. They became fast friends, healing and studying together.
As the years progressed it bacame very apparent to both of them their relationship would eventually be more once they were older.

At the age of 98, the year 25, her world changed completely as the scourge found their way to Quel'Thalas and The Sunwell.
When the invasion began she, Ann'da and Dalterus were called to heal the rangers and warriors of Quel'Thalas as they defended the land they loved.
She called upon the light she was so familiar with, healing her allies with a skill that was nearly perfect.
The scourge continued their march through the land, dealing irreversable damage and killing mercilessly.
Seeing this tore her heart, but she continued her effort to save and repair what she could.
As she did so she caught sight of Ann'da, across the battlefield, take a blow from a group of scourge.
With a cry of panic she raced to his side, calling on the Light to aid her and her father.
Not paying attention to the battle raging around them, a large abomination barrled towards them. Something she noticed all to late.
She called the upon the light, creating a large protective barrier on her and Ann'da, but it was obvious it was not strong enough to keep out the scourge's damage.
Her eyes welled with tears as she realized this was her end. She clung tight to his hand as she waited for her barrier to shatter around them.
Without warning Dalterus emerged from the battle, standing between them and the abomination. He called on the light to deal a damaging Smite while yelling at her to run.
Following his instructions, she dragged Ann'da away from the battle only to lose Dalterus to the Abomination.
Ann'da passed a few hours later to injuries she was unable to heal.

It only took a matter of days for the scourge to completely overtake her land and people. The Sunwell was destroyed as was most of her race.
She mourned her race and her land but most of all felt the gap her father's death left.
She attempted to continue on without her loved ones as she followed the remainder of her race in efforts to rebuild and curb their arcane withdrawls.
Only after a month did she finally quit, finding it all pointless.
If her light was unable to aid her when she needed it most why was she still calling on it?

Ayria traveled from some time, finding her way to the Forsaken and the group of shadow priests known as The Cult of Forgotten Shadow.
Here she learned the ways of the shadow and decided this was her new calling.
Turning away from the light she followed this shadow and it's virtues.

Today Ayria is almost never without her shadowform. She may occationally be seen calling on the light for a petty task such as a small protective bubble but nothing more.
She can be found most often in Silvermoon, deep in thought, usually remembering things as they were long ago and people who are long gone.
Many think her rude and brash but she feels this keeps people at the distance they need to be kept at.
She doesnt like to get close to people as she doesnt wish to feel the loss she did in the past agian.
With the company of her pet Wyvern, Dath, she travels across Azeroth, aiding where she can to keep her mind and hands occupied.
